Shillong, Jan 09: The ANVC Breakaway fraction has alleged that the Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Singh is responsible for displacing ANVC.B Cadres.
In a press communique issued by the organisation said, “SP Mukesh Kumar Singh is responsible for displacing ANVC.B Cadres.”
ANVC(B) leader Doang Shira said, “Tura SP Mukesh Kumar Singh is handling the situation in Garo Hills like a Hindi movie. SP ordered “ANVC.B ko sapai karo” and lo, hamla. Could this be the word of a responsible person? The situation in Garo Hills is real, volatile and sensitive. ANVC.B is an armed group who signed a ‘PEACE PACT’ last January and has been asking for official ceasefire with the Govt. Filing an FIR against myself and registering an arms case against our Chairman who was not even in the camp confirms our fear and claim that someone wants ANVC.B out of the “Final Settlement”. Govt must act sensibly to bring back normalcy as destroying our camp has sent a negative message to our cadres and public as well.”
He further said, “Displacing our cadres will only deteriorate the law and order situation. Govt must work out rehabilitation package for ANVC.B cadres. Nepotism has ruined the public relation and faith in State Police, further deterioration would ruin the present status as well. Therefore, Government must constitute a magisterial inquiry to dig out the fact of what really happened. We should not make things worse.”
Asserting that ANVC.B wants Peace and Normalcy in Garo Hills, the leader of the outfit said, “There was no FIR sent to police on our missing cadres. They needed an excuse to break into our camp and so made up an FIR story sending Garo SI Starson to our camp without any information. He was a bait while CRPF and SWATs waited outside for the actual attack. The truth is, after Jangsan@Gideon’s surrender, police got the camp status and arms details and were preparing to wipe out ANVC.B. They were only waiting for the festive season to pass by. Public knew of possible operation a week before the raid in our camp. It was all planned attempt to displace ANVC.B.” (SP News)
