Shillong, Lber 22: The home minister Smti Roshan Warjri while replying to the call attention motion of Mr Cliford R Marak said that the police has confirm that its was the over ground workers of the ANVC(B) who has demanded momeny from the dry fish merchant at the Chokpot market.
The police who where present in the area managed to arrest two of the over ground workers Mr L Marak and P Marak and a mobile phone was cease from them. From the mobile phone the police got the hard core ANVC(B) member namely Mr Panseng.
After get this phone numbers the policy lay a trap asking the arrested over ground workers to asked Mr Pangseng to come and take the money from the village Darong, but the ANVC(B) sensing the presence of the police personal they fire at them and the police has to retaliate.
On the demand of the MLA from Chokpot to do patrolling during the market days the minister said that the government will look into it.(SP News)
