Two NDFB Linkmen were aprehended by the BSF deployed in Purakhasia

Shillong, June 18: Two NDFB Linkmen were aprehended by the Border Security Force deployed in Purakhasia BOP, Ex-183 Bn of South West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya.

The arrested persons were identified as Nipendra Koch (30) and Sisir D. Sangma  (24 ) while they were trying to exfiltrate into Bangladesh from India near BP No 1098/2-S.

During preliminary questioning, they confessed that they  had crossed over to India two days back  using the culvert and further went to Ampati.  They were involved  in facilitating cross-border movement of the NDFB cadres.

Besides the BSF troops of Meghalaya Ftr, also seized   308 Btl of Liquor, 21 Nos Cattle, 08 Nos boat, 50 Btl Phensdyle and other contraband items of the estimated cost of Rs. 15,45,200 during the last week.

The apprehended persons and seized items have been handed over to the concerned police station for necessary action as per the law of the land. (SP News)
