SHILLONG, Jan 12: Concerned over frequent power shut down which adversely affects students preparing their examination, the United Democratic Party (UDP), Youth Wing Shillong city district urged upon the MeECL authorities to take note and expedite steps and resolved the problem.
In its general council meeting, the UDP Youth Wing Shillong city impress upon the party leadership to bring in Educational Reforms as an agenda in the party’s Manifesto besides questioning the delay in taking action against those named in the C.B.I report for tampering with the appointment list of Teachers in the Education Department.
So also the UDP appeals to the youth in particular and the Electorates in General to replace the Congress by voting the UDP to power in the coming elections as evident in the other states in the country.
Meanwhile, The United Democratic Party (UDP), Youth Wing Shillong city district reconstituted its District Executive committee by electing its new office bearers at its general council meeting held on Saturday.
The newly elected office bearers consists of the President – Aibor Roy Thangkhiew, Vice president- Andreas Nongrum, Clement Rajee, Ebenezer Kharkongor and Pherbian Chyne. General Secreatry- Danny Dunai, Joint secretary- Yosil Cliff Marwein, Khamti Hek, Pholking Syiemlieh, Ronaldson Dkhar, Finance secretary- Aldrin Sna, Chief Organizer- Andrew Jyrwa . Asst organizer- Teibok Kharkongor. Alescius Kharmawlong, Cynthia Khongtham and Monisha Kharkrang, Publicity secretary- Flemingstar Nongrum, Asst Publicity secretary- Hubert Bamon Alexander Nongbet, Pynkhuid Rajee and Bari Kshir. Advicer- Allan Dkhar along with 20 executive members.
