Shillong November 21:With unemployment problems on the rise in the state, training for skill development is very important and necessary to cope up with the present situation. Meanwhile, the deputy chief minister also informed that the state governemnt through the labour department and the opther public and private organisation had been trying and engaging to create various skill and development programme in the form of setting up ITI in almost all district of the state and launching various short courses training programme, sol also many NGO’s have take up such training to our youth.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest lyngdoh said training for Skill Development is a must in this part of our country as the state is still lacking behind in producing personnel who can be fitted or suitable to be employed in varioius industries and commercial enterprises.
Talking at the sideline of the expo Dr K Prabakar from the Appollo Hospital Group highlighted that the Hospital aimed at setting up a company called Appolo med skills limited with support of National skill development corporation which is the first of its kind in the North Eastern region to impart skills development in terms of paramedical education linked with job opportunities and reducing growing unemployment problem in the region.
The first day of the expo witness huge gathering of local youth who went to enquire on the various career oriented programmes provided by the different institutes across the country.(SP News)
