Shillong, Sept 09: In the early morning today unknown miscreant torched the office of the Congress party at Mawkyrwat the headquarter of the South West Khasi Hills District.
Speaking to SP News Agency the Deputy Commissioner Mr Aldus Mawlong said that in the early morning today un known miscreant thraw the oil lamp from the window paint and the furniture which is in the officer was burn.
There is not much damage due to timely action taken by the people to extinguish the fire but the ceiling of the building was damage. The total damage of the building is approximately around five percent.(SP News)
