Shillong, July 08: The New governor of Meghalaya Dr Krishan Kant Paul after assuming office in his he emphasize on the need to ensured the highest standards of governance in the state to build the principle of transparency and accountability said in his written statement.
The governor said that the interest of our people, in particular the poor should be supreme. The New governor pointed out that to bring an over all development in the state peace is essential for growth and prosperity.
Meghalaya is a state that has many potential, like natural resources, Climate, and the green cover that the state has will beneficial in building up a knowledge society.
The new governor said that he will devote himself for the well being of the state, he also said that he has a good fortune of earlier serving in the north east region, which today the region has become a focal point in policy formulation but development should balanced and must not disrupt between man and nature.(SP News)
