Where the 47 tiger from state of Meghalaya are has disappeared?

Shillong, August 06: The last tiger census which the forest department government of Meghalaya has taken is in 2003 since then the department has stop taking the census. According to the census of the year 2003 Meghalaya has recorded 47 tigers.

When SP News Agency contacted C Buddnah chief wild  life officer of the forest department said that “ Meghalaya is not a tiger state” therefore there is no tiger project in the state.

When asked then whap happen to thus 47 tiger which the department has recorded in 2003, the officer said that they have put in record while they come across when they do the elephant census which they used to carried out one in five years.(SP News)
