Shillong, March 28: A One day inter active session was held today in Shillong to discuss about the legal right of women and how to make them aware of their right which is available for them.
In the inaugural address the members of the National Women Commission SmtiWansukSyiem said that they will keep fighting for their right and one day they will achieve it. She also said that more legal awareness programme is required to organize in order to make them understand.
SmtiTheilinPhanbuh Chairperson of the Meghalaya State Commission for women said that most of the women are not aware of their legal right. The Districtor of Social welfare Mr HM Shangpliang said that organizing such inter active session is required for the benefit of women.(SP News)
