Shillong, February 22: Meghalaya Chief Minister Mr. Conrad K Sangma reply to the Zero Hours brought by Mr. Charles Pyngrope MLA of the TMC on the harassment to Sister Rose Mary in Assam, said that the Zero Hours just brought in the morning and the written statement will be given to the members.
The Chief Minister inform that house that after the incident it was inform by one of the Bishop and immediately after he as taken up the issued with the Chief Minister of Assam and Mr. Himanta Bisawa Sarma , so this matter has been brought to his notice and official inform that he will take necessary action.
The Chief Minister inform that house that they are waiting for more detail because the information that was received as not sufficient to peruse the matter in any official capacity, the concern person was in the state of shock therefore could get more detail and she was obviously not comfortable to gave the detail immediately.
The Government is waiting for that particular information, the information that they have as of now is the date the time and the location from where she travel and the destination which she travel, as of now do not have the bus number the detail of the names or ant thing that could let to the concern individuals.
The Chief Minister said that they are aware and they will peruse with the matter, there will be continous effort form the government that such incident should not happen in any location in the state in the region and in the country and the chief minister said that he will gave written reply after getting the report.
In the brief submit in the Zero hour Mr. Charles Pyngrope MLA from the TMC quoting report from the News Paper from Nongsain Hima stated that the sister board the bus from Dudnai to travel to Goalpara, soon after the bus travel the bus conductor and some of the passengers make remark on her religious habits, the dress that she wear and the faith.
After sometime they stop the bus at a isolated place and she was force to leave the bus, the incident goes mental agony harassed Sister Rose Mary , with the help of others people the sister took the bus and proceed to Goalpara.
Mr. Charles state that many numerous incident where religious priest and nuns in Assam and Meghalaya where religious stress where happen as well in others place in the country hareshment of people where they dress particular habits is weary disturbing.
