Shillong, March 14: The Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) after five days o the IED bomb blast that happen at them metor on the night of 9th March today claim their responsibility for the blast.
The HNLC name it as the Budnar Shadow Squad (BSS), which operates as the special forces of the HNLC, was responsible for carrying out this blast. The MDA government and the police department were shocked to discover that our team was able to commit such an act in a high-security area.
In the press statement issued by the General Secretary Cum Publicity Secretary of the HNLC Mr. Sainkupar Nongtraw said that they did not intend to harm civilians or innocent lives, hence their restraint.
It is imperative for the government to promptly withdraw the CRPF from them metor to ensure the freedom of movement for our Hynniewtrep people in the area.
Due to the long-standing negligence of the Meghalaya government in relocating these Harijan from this area, they have no choice but to resort to military action.
This serves as a gentle reminder that if the government fails to protect our community, they may see Hynñiewtrep descend into civil war. Any community that poses a threat to Hynniewtrep will be dealt with firmly. The government must relocate them within one month.
The HNLC acknowledge the long-standing presence of the Harijan community in Hynniewtrep land. They are not asking them to leave Hynniewtrep.thier intention is not to promote division or animosity.
Instead, they encourage the Harijan community to consider relocating to an area designated by the government for their people and peacefully leave them metor. In the past, the HNLC claim that they eliminated Lal Singh due to his criminal activities, which had hurt the sentiments.
This is our unequivocal message to any residing in Hynniewtrep:, they are welcome to reside here, but refrain from asserting ownership of our land, exert force, challenge or provoking us; failure to do so will result in consequences, as a thief can never become an owner, said Mr. Saińkupar Nongtraw General secretary cum Publicity secretary,HNLC in the press statement issue today to media houses.
