Shillong, Dec 02: Justifying its stand, Agnes Kharshiing, CSWO president said “such a rumour is going on that CSWO has been bought or it has compromised over the issue of ILP these are all false allegations.
“We took steps, fighting with corrupt regime we had to take drastic steps which is in the interest of the people,” Kharsiing said.
The women organisation asserted that those anti-social elements are trying to take advantage for the situation of legitimate demand.
“First situation is because there are anti-social elements who are trying to take advantage of this situation of legitimate demand of ILP and causing a disruption to human life and property,” she said.
CSWO also made a serious allegation saying that the land grabbers had planned of creating disturbance on the day meeting on Saturday and even get curfew clamped so that the NGOs will be booked under MPDA.
She also alleged that during the protest demonstration of CSWO and KWWADA, someone intentionally created ruckus and this was done in connivance with certain intelligence of the police who are helping the land grabbers so as to book the CSWO.
Kharsiing further said, “We are working for the interest of common man the human right violation which is the priority so people need us we cannot be just the scape goat by the decision of someone who does not want us to fight in the interest of the people.” (SP News)
