Shillong, Dec 6: It seems special preferences has been given only to the Congress MLA who according to the report there were ten Congress MLA who acquire the “ Special Central Assistance” to initiate road construction projects.
As per the report the amount sanctioned for initiating road construction has been estimated at a cost of Rs 43.95 Crore. As per report under the name “Proposals Under Special Central Assistance) which SP News Agency found out it was clearly mentioned that for the year 2012-2013 Mawkyrwat division was sanctioned rs 82.1970 lakh for constructing the road from Mawkyrwat sha Pyngdengsakwang nad 85 lakh for constructing the road from Nongshillong to Mawthong.
For Ampati Division 3300 lakh was sanctioned and this money was divided into three parts, one is to repair the existing road at Ampati and was sanctioned at an amount of rupees 1000 lakh, for construction of the road from Ampati to Melim and four more bridges, the amount sanctioned was 1200 lakh and for black topping the Betasing road to Isaguri the amount sanctioned was rupees 1100 lakh.
Besides, the Jowai NEC Division received an amount of rupees 125 lakh to construct a road leading to Tongseng, whereas rupees 119.7200 lakh was sanctioned for construction of the road at Tluh village. However, an amount of rupees 387 lakh was sanctioned for blacktopping of the road from Tuber to Kmaishnong.
In connection with the NH Shillong Division a total amount of rupees 76.5400 lakh was sanctioned to construct a road from Nongpuir which will connect it with the NH-40, coming to the Shillong South division rupees 50 lakh was sanctioned for the construction of the road leading to Kyndong Mylliem and for the construction of the Pynursla-Myllat Nongkhlieng a total amount of rupees 60 lakh was sanctioned
Sohra Division was sanctioned a total amount of rupees 49.8030 lakh for construction of the Mawkma-Laitlyngdop Rngimawsaw. For NH Bye Pass an amount of rupees 30 lakh was sanctioned for construction of the Umkdiat Nongmynsong road and also for repairing of the Lumshyiap road an amount of rupees 30 lakh was sanctioned.
Altogether, the amount sanctioned through the Special Central Assistance amounted to rupees 4395.26 lakh and from all the amount that has been sanctioned Ampati Division gets the highest whereby the amount sanctioned was rupees 3300 lakh.
According to the report received by SP News ten names of MLA appear in the section written remarks and all of them belong to the congress party and the names includes Rowell Lyngdoh, Shitlang Pale, RV Lyngdoh whose name came up twice, P. Tynsong, Dr PW Khongjee and AL Hek whose name also came up twice. These MLA all belong to the Congress party.
