Shillong, May 05: The Court of Smti. Swapna G. Momin, Special Judge (POCSO) East Khasi Hills, Shillong vide Judgement of the Court Order Dated 02.05.2025 has convicted the accused of SpecialPOCSO C/No. 74 of 2019 arising out of Laban PS Case No. 86 (12) 2018 Under Section 8 POCSo Act.
The accused and convict Shri Noni Chakraborty is sentenced to undergo, regarious imprisonment for four years and to pay fine of Rs. 3,000/- in default of fine, to undergo Simple Imprisonment for another one month for offence punishable under section 8 of POCSO Act.
The case was investigated by WPSI Romaya Carina Nongkynrih of this DEF and presently posted in Nongmensong Outpost, Shillong.
