Why in hurry to inaugurate when building is not completed ?

Shillong December 06:  The question arised why in hurry to inaugurate when building are not completed to construct, out of 600 unit only 96 are yet to be completed fully, these project are funded by the central government  under Basic services for Urban poor, JNNURM under ministry of Housing and urban poverty alleviation government of India.

The government of india under the basic services for urban poor scheme of the JNNURM in the year 2007 aimed at uplifting the living standard condition of the urban poor  by providing basic services as well as housing, water supply, community hall besides others. It may be mentioned here that each household has got one sitting room, one kitchen, one bedroom attached bathroom.

As per the central government guidelines all occupants can take the household units as temporary occupancy right which means that if the occupants fulfill the guidelines as per agreement they fulfill all the guidelines as per agreement and after they’l become the rightful owners but they cannot rent the house or to sell the house.

However the owner should pay their own electricity bill they should also form a kind of a society in a kind of a society in accordance with the dorbar shnong so that they can look after the maintenance of the house.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Lyngdoh lauded the land owner who willingly gave their plot of land to start off with the project. Besides, she also said that there are 600 house units in total and by March, 2013 next 96 houses will be completed.

Earlier, GAD Minister and Local MLA of Pynthorbah constituency, AL Hek said that this housing will benefit the poor sections of the society.Informing about the total expenditure over the project, Project Co-ordinator, Wanda Syiem said that till date the cost for constructing the housing project has amounted to Rs 21 core..(SP News)
