- Deployment of additional manpower and materials from nearby divisions/substations.
- Restoration of majority of affected feeders within the minimum possible time period. However, Due to the severe weather conditions especially in the rural areas the power restoration is delayed and efforts is put by our officers and staff to complete at the earliest possible
- Prioritization of critical installations such as hospitals, water supply systems, and emergency services.
Our officers are stationed across affected areas, coordinating with local authorities and ensuring swift restoration. Till 7 PM more than 50% of the lines were restored and the restoration works will continue on a war footing.
Transmission Lines
Outages of High-Tension Transmission lines (132000 Volts) also have occurred in the Jaintia Hills and Ri Bhoi Districts. Following are the High-Tension Transmission Lines which were affected because of the Heavy Rainfall accompanied with strong wind:
- 132kV Mynkre to Khliehriat Line 2. This Line was affected due to broken jumper leading to intermittent tripping of the Myntdu – Leshka Generators.
- The 132kV Lumshnong – Panchgram Line was also affected due to snapping of conductor at Chymplong Village.
- In the Ri Bhoi District, the 132kV Stage 4 – Umtru Line 2 was also affected due to landslide which result in the bamboo touching the line.
