Shillong, December 07: The political department government of Meghalaya today has come out with the final proposal how to implement the Inner Line Permit (ILP) in the whole state of Meghalaya and the department has asked all the NGO’s to give their final view on it on the 10th of this month.
The political department has come out with the departmental notification No-Pol.161/2012/125 dated 6/12/2012 according to this order the department has prepare the report according to what the Committee headed by the Deputy Chief Minister Mr Bindo M Lanong has reported to the government.
In this government order it has clearly said that the government is will to implement the ILP in the whole state of Meghalaya. Before it bring any legislation on this regard the department is seeking final view or if there is any objection to the proposal.
The Demand for implementation of the ILP in the state of Meghalaya is a long demand made by various organization, the government also has set up many committees on this regard but till date the final decision had not taken place.(SP News)
