Shillong December 09: The last session of the Eight Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will begin on Tuesday and the session will be only three days. Two days allotted for government business and only one day allotted for private members.
This session will be the last session for the eight assembly of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. The State will elect the new representative to the nine legislative assemblies which is tentatively will be held on the last week of February 2013.
The present house will expired on the 10th February 20013 and the election has to hold earlier so that the new government will assume charge before the expired of the house. The eight assembly election was held on the 3th of February. (SP News)
