Shillong, Feb 18: A joint raid by ANTF EKH, State ANTF, Special Squad Anti- Infiltration Directorate and Officers from Cantonment Beat House and Sadar Police station conducted in the early hours of themorning today at Lum Survey whereby search of Narcotics from suspected persons was made.
In the raid, three persons namely Ashad Ali 39 years, Jaharuddin 28 years and Bishu Barman 24 years were arrested for possession of narcotic drugs namely Heroin and a seizure of 83 vials amounting to 9.84 gms was made.
Two cases have been registered vide Sadar P.S CINo. 53(2) 2025 U/S 21(b)/27/29 NDPS act Act and Sadar PS CNO. 54(2) 2025 U/S 21(a)/27/29 NDPS Act. Six persons were also detained by the Special Squad Anti-Infiltration for having no documents to prove their citizenship and are being questioned. The EKH district police endeavors to continue raiding such places which have become dens for drug peddling.
