Shillong, April 11: Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, today felicitated 41 children from different child care institutions from Khasi and Jaintia Hills region. These children have successfully completed their SSLC 2026.
Speaking during the felicitation program organised by the Social Welfare department, Government of Meghalaya, the Chief Minister said, “Since yesterday we have been felicitating achievers young or old and today we here again to celebrate your success. your courage and your hard work.” Commending the spirit of the children who have been placed in various child care institutions, the Chief Minister said that it is not the easy things and situations that determine success, adding, “Today all of you have proven that you are worthy of being here and that you have risen above the challenges and difficulties that you have faced.”
He urged the meritorious students present for the occasion to continue to work hard with determination and perseverance. In addition to the case awards that were being presented the Chief Minister announced that the higher secondary education of the children will be supported by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
The program was also attended by Minister, Education, Lahkmen Rymbui besides officials from the Social Welfare department.
