Mr. Alexander met Union Home Minister discussed political situation in Meghalaya

Shillong, Sept 11: Mr. Alexander Hek BJP MLA from Meghalaya met Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah in the national capital and had a detailed discussion on the political situation in Meghalaya and the road ahead.

In the press statement the BJP stated that they had a detailed discussion on the FCRA Bill. The Home Minister said that he has already met with at least 35 Christian forums and leaders regarding the matter.

At present, the Bill has been referred to the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for further discussion and consideration. He said that, after the JPC process is completed, he will invite the party to Delhi for further discussions with Christian stakeholders.

During the course of the conversation, Mr. Hek shared his assessment of the emerging political scenario in the state and their vision for the coming days. They has discussed the evolving political landscape and the clear opportunity before the party to emerge as a strong, credible and independent political force in Meghalaya.

Mr. Alexander sought Shri Amit Shah guidance, encouragement and blessings as they move forward with a clear political objective to strengthen our organisation across the state, earn the confidence of the people, and work towards forming our own government in Meghalaya.
