Williamnagar, March 25: As part of SVEEP (Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation) Campaign, East Garo Hills District in collaboration with Office of CEO Meghalaya conducted Kite Flying Competition cum Fun Kite Flying show this morning and LED Kite Flying & Chinese Lantern Show this evening in Williamnagar.
The program witnessed huge numbers of crowd from various localities of Williamnagar. The objective of the program was to spread the message of ethical voting and to fight urban apathy towards electoral participation.
As part of Fun Kite Flying Show, colorful flights in shapes of fish, butterfly, cobra, parachute, glider and B-2 fighter plane along with Gyroscope Hexacopter flying machine were flown. The Ronggrengre Play Ground where the program was conducted was exuding festival like mood owing to the novelty of the show on display.(SP News)
