Shillong May 28,: Today around 4.30 PM, one local taxi bearing registration number ML 05 E 1143 was caught in fire near Presbyterian Church English Service, Police Bazaar when on its way to Happy Valley.
Fire Brigade was called and upon arrival the fire was extinguished within ten minutes.
The 30-year-old cab driver Vaipei a resident of Madanryting said that he had just come from Motphran with four passengers reached Police bazaar when his cab caught fire.
When asked about the reason of the fire, Vaipei had no clue whereas the taxi is fully damaged.(SP News)
