Shillong, Jan 3: Six persons sustained injuries in different road accidents that took place in and around the state on January 1 and 2.
one Richard Ryntathiang (22years/male) sustained injuries after he was hit by a vehicle while walking on the side of the road at Mawlai Mawiong.
A Maruti Alto travelling towards Mylliem from Shillong was hit by an Ambassador which was coming from the opposite direction near the petrol pump at 12th Mile. Mylliem. Monalisa Marwein (20years/female) and Evenson Marwein (13years/male) were injured in the accident.
Yet in another incident Skhem Wahlang (24years/male) sustained injury when the Maruti van he was travelling on hit a wall on the side of the road near Raps Mansion at Kachari, Shillong.
Meanwhile, in the Garo Hills region of the state, a motorist sustained injuries after falling off the motorbike when it skidded at Oragitok under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills and another motorist sustained injuries after losing control of the motorbike while travelling back home from the bazaar at Rangmalbaddin under Samanda Block, East Garo Hills.

The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Williamnagar helped in shifting Thingthing Sangma (23years/male) to Civil Hospital, Williamnagar.
All the injured were shifted to the respective civil hospital of the district by 108 Emergency Service for further treatment. (SP News)
