Shillong, November 6th: In a hit and run case, Twinsbirth Marak 20 years a motorist sustained injuries after he fell off his motorbike when it was hit by another vehicle near FCI at Dakopgre under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills on the 5th of November. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Tura helped in shifting Twinsbirth Marak to Tura Civil Hospital. Mr. Marak was on his way home when the incident happened.
In another vehicle related accident one person died on the spot and another two sustained injuries when a truck (MLO8B – 4759) travelling from Baghmara to Tura overturned after it went off the road on a turning and into a river while it was approaching a wooden bridge. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Gasuapara helped in shifting the two injured Kalli Hajong 45years and the driver Prasanna Koch 45years to Dalu CHC. Prasanna Koch was later shifted to Tura Civil Hospital. The incident happened Jatrakona under Gasuapara Block, South Garo Hills on the 5th of November.(SP News)
