Shillong, March 18: The JSU members under the leadership of Treiborlang Suchen who is the President of Shillong Circle along with Samran Syiem a social activist, today went to reach out two orphanage homes, Reach Shillong Ministry at Nonngmynsong and Spring Of Hope at Mawlai Mawdatbaki.
The group and the activist distributed one cartoon of hand Sanitizers each to these orphanage homes. Reach Shillong ministry at Nonngmynsong was received by Mr. Pynkhraw Nongpyiur and Spring Of Hope by Mrs. Bobby Marpna.
There were around 16 underprivileged kids at the Reach Shillong Ministry and 30 kids at Spring Of Hope. Treiborlang Suchen stressed on the point that Government needs to give special consideration for these underprivileged kids and urged the NGOs, Social Organisations to join hands in stopping the Corona Virus outbreak.
The JSU leader also requested the Government to subsidize the basic necessities that are needed to prevent the people of our state from Covid-19 and also to monitor that suppliers of such goods do not take any advantages by increasing the price of these commodities.
Mr Samran Syiem said that the government is reactive in nature and that it needs to be proactive and aggressive in tackling this pandemic and to ensure that no citizens of the state will suffer from the fate of the Covid-19. Also that government needs to set up isolation and test centres to track the travelers who are coming inside our state.
