Guwahati July 02: The Chief Managing Director of Oil Lidia Limited Mr. S K SRIVASTAV, today addressed a press conference in Guwahati, where he said that the OIL had face heavy losses in the last fiscal year to various obstacles like Band including local and regional, protest , road blockades etc.
The CMD said that the production hampered for 290 days, that inflicted financial loss of around Rs. 200 cores. However the official said that extortion threats from outfits are not threats for the OIL instead there are hundreds of democratic organizations that are creating create problem for the OIL.
Around 300 organizations are in the list of the OIL that keeps demanding various favors form the Oil India Limited, including Money, various development activities, jobs etc. All these things gave paralyzed the OIL, said officials in the press conference.
The OIL has also briefed about the “KAMDHENU” project in upper Assam, the project like AMUL, that would help local people to produce milk. The OIL will help farmers to get high breed cows for production.(SP News)
