Shillong, July 04: A two day orientation programme for journalist of Meghalaya on Assembly’s
Reporting. The training was conducted by the Bureau of Parliament studies and training of the Lok Sabha Secretariat.
On the inaugural day the training base on haw the parliament and Assembly function in the country and journalist who did the reporting should know the basic rule of the parliamentary set of the Country and the functioning of the public representative in the floor of the house.
Inaugurating the two day programme the speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Mr A T Mandal said that this is the opportunity for the journalist of the state to know about the function of the Assembly and dealing with the repotting of the business during the session.
Mr Raashid Alvi Honoray adviser to the BPST, said that the media is the only link between the Parliament or Assembly with the public. The public come to know about the performance of their representative in the floor of the house base on the media report.(SP News)
