Shillong, March 26: In order to ensure smooth conduct of the Academic Session 2021, the Governor of Meghalaya hereby notifies that schools should follow the procedures.
In the notification mention that the school calendar, The End Dates for Academic Session 2021 will be for Pre Primary 30th November 2021 for Classes 1-12 will be 22nd December 2021 and for Classes 9 to 12 2 (two) Saturdays in a month may be added to cover the courses.
The School working Calendar, therefore, will be as follows, Start Date of Academic Session aready nofified by the Government -1st April 2021, End date for Half Yearly Exams-30h July 2021, Summer Break-2nd to 6th August 2021 Selection Test for Class X Private Candidates-Last week September iv) to first week October 2021, v End date for Pre-Primary Academic Session- 30h November 2021 (vi) Last date for submission of exam forms for Class X & Class XI Candidates-10th December 2021 (vil) End date for Classes I to XIl Academic Session- 22nd December 2021.
2. SYLLABUS: 100% Syllabus to be followed for all levels 3. Schools to undertake a Catch-up Course for all classes with sufficient time for those students who had limited access to online learning or who undertook self-study during the Pandemic. This is mandatory, and teachers should assess learning gaps of each student and to specifically address the skills or competencies and knowledge areas not mastered by students to ensure learning in the current academic session.
Special exams for those who did not appear online should also be considered after the preparatory course. 4. The Government has declared 2020 as a ‘No Detention’ year for all students except those appearing for class 10 and 12 Board exams, the notification was sign by additional chief secretary Mr DP Wahlang incharge Education.
