Shillong, Oct 28: In line with the Direction from AICC, The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress has gone digital in building its movement for enrolling primary members to the party. It is using the latest technology which is user friendly and easy to operate.
The party has set up a robust data base of eligible voters and this will ensure that only genuine users come on board, and it gives the best experience to the user by providing instant primary member identity cards digitally.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Vincent Pala, President, Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee said, “Congress has always been at the forefront of adopting new technologies, which are people friendly and help bringing efficiency in things we do.
This Vision and its tenets are ingrained in the ethos of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress party and these have been carried forward from the Vision our Late Prime Minister.
Late Mrs. Indira Gandhi who vehemently believed in our Calling of our unique identity and inculcating our culture by granting us, without an ounce of doubt, Statehood fifty years ago and of Late Sh. Rajiv Gandhi, who has brought in IT revolution in the country.
He further said, “Taking their vision forward, we are introducing state of art technology to enroll primary members, this is our first step in enriching the lives of citizens of Meghalaya and a small glimpse of things we are developing to bring about efficiency of governance in the times to come”.
The technology will help the registration process for both the young and the old in enrolling themselves and becoming an active member of the party. He appeal to all the citizens of Meghalaya to come forward, join this movement and let’s make our tomorrow brighter.
The Congress party has set up a simple process using chatbot on WhatsApp, wherein the user has to send a simple ‘Hi’ or ‘Hello’ to +91 90779 09175, whereafter the user will be asked for name, Voter id number, and has to upload the pic of voter id and take a selfie and upload.
This entire process takes less than a minute, and once this is done, the information fed in by user is verified at the back-end and once verified, a digital primary member identity card is sent to the user on WhatsApp.
The MPCC invite all to come forward and embrace the bright future and become a part of this digital initiative.
