Shillong, June 05: The Hynniewtrep Youth’s Council (HYC) Education Cell today submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Meghalaya and the Education Minister demanding for setting up more Common University Entrance Test Centre in Meghalaya.
The Education cell bring to the knowledge and apprised the plight of the students’ of the state, pertaining to the unavailability of the Common University Entrance Test centre in the state.
The HYC stated that since less centre are available this ha compel the students’ of the state who are seeking admission for UG And PG courses into various institutions in the country to travel to Guwahati, Assam for attending the entrance examinations.
This non availability of the CUET center have in fact put the students in the state in distress and hardship as students have to encounter various issue such as high cost travel expenditure and long distance journey.
The council hope that the State Government will take necessary steps and action to addressed this issue at the earliest, said Mr. Enlang Sawian Education Secretary HYC central body.
