Shillong, March 26: As per the order, the State Government has directed mandatory registration of all Private Coaching Centres and the adoption of student protection noms with effective grievance redressal mechanisms.
These rules have been framed in compliance with the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in SLP (Crl) No(s).6378 of 2024 titled Sukdeb Saha v. The State of Andhra Pradesh &Ors. vide Judgement dated 2Sth July, 2025.
The notified rules provide for the registration and regulation of all Private Coaching Centers operating within the State, both in online and offline modes. The rules further lay down provisions aimed at ensuring the welfare and protection of students, as well as the establishment of structured grievance redressal mechanisms.
All interested Private Coaching Centres under East Khasi Hills District are hereby required to register themselves with the Education Department in accordance with the provisions of thesaid rules.
All concerned are hereby requested to take note of the above and ensure strict compliance with the provisions of the said rules said the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong.
