Shillong, November 07: Prominent social worker Smti Agens Kharshiing today file the Fist Information Report (FIR) with the Laitumkhrah Police Station against thus public representation who involved in tempering the socre sheet of thus teachers who appear for the exam for the post of Asst LP Teachers.
In the FIR that she file with the police station she clearly mention the name of the former education minister Smt Ampareen Lyngdoh, in the FIR she(Agnes) base her FIR according to the CBI report.
In this Fir, she mention that a CBI inquiry was ordered by the Hon’ble single Bench of T. Vaiphei, for inquiry into the rampant manipulation and tampering of marks in the compilation sheets, for the post of the Asst LP Teachers.
It appears, according to the CBI report Smt Ampareen Lyngdoh the then Minister for Education, had instructed Shri J.D.Sangma the then Director of DEME ( Director Elementary and Mass Education) and two of her supporters to tamper, forge the score-sheets by applying white fluid wherever there is need to increase the marks and deduct the marks of the deserving candidates, thereby committed cheating, and manufactured a false document with the knowledge that it was likely to cause wrongful loss, to commit defraud on the successful candidates.
The public Representative on whom the public has full faith has committed breach of trust allowing such large scale manipulation for political gain and for some extraneous consideration. In the FIR she alleged that Smti Ampareen in collusion and connivance with other members of the Legislative Assembly, who are named in the report acted illegally, dishonestly and fraudulently therefore, committed cheating, forgery and tampering score sheet ordered for altering a document, after it has been made and executed by other as well as the officials were ordered to carry out such large scale manipulation in the selection process for the appointment of Assistant Teachers in Govt L.P.School thereby she has misused and abused her position along with her colleague legislators as named in the CBI report.
It is an open corruption by the legislators in the history of Meghalaya which has eroded the faith of the people in the system as such stringent action is warranted and the person who have committed white coloured crime needs to be punished as per the law of land and no one is above the law.
The Ms Ampareen and the representatives mentioned in the CBI report have abused their powers, by instructing, the then Director, DEME to furnish false information by publishing the tampered and manipulated marks and to make the candidates believed that the same are genuine, thereby committed forgery for the purpose of cheating apart from causing a criminal breach of trust. This was done with a full knowledge that it would cause wrongful loss to affected candidates who applied for the post of Asst. LP teachers.
It may also be mentioned herein that the two accomplice of the then Education Minister have personated as government servants and tampered the score sheet by applying white fluid on government document, which is highly illegal and they have to be booked as per law.
The then Principal Secretary Education, Shri P.S.Thangkhiew, and the officers who signed in the score-sheets did not verify the authenticity of the documents despite of protest lodged by the candidates and even he declined to meet the affected candidates which clearly shows that he is also involved in the criminal conspiracy.
Therefore in the interest of the Public at large we urge you to take immediate action and make thorough investigation into the matter since the offence committed disclose the cognizable offences under the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Corruption Act and to ensure that the culprits how high they may be, involved in the commission of offence, should not go unpunished.(SP News)
