Shillong, April 13: The Drug Reduction Elimination and Action Mission (DREAM) will distribute equipment to for rehabilitation centres aimed at strengthening rehabilitation and reintegration efforts for individuals recovering from substance use.
The distribution is in collaboration with the Industrial Training Institute, (ITI) Shillong, they have procured skill-development tools for rehabilitation centres, with the objective of empowering patients through practical training and livelihood-oriented skills.
Experts from the Industrial Training Institute, (ITI) Shillong, will be conducting hands-on training sessions to ensure effective utilization of these tools. The formal handover of the equipment will take place at the DREAM Mission office at Lower Lachumiere, on 14th April, 2026.
After the handing over of the equipment there will be an overview of the training program and its intended impact on rehabilitation outcomes. This initiative reflects a shift towards holistic recovery focusing not only on treatment, but also on dignity, self-reliance, and long-term reintegration into society.
