Maligaon, June 16: For the convenience of the passengers, N. F. Railway has decided to operate aBi-weekly special train between Guwahati and New Jalpaigurithrough theChapar, Bilasipara,Gauripur, Golakganj, Tufanganjroute.
The special train bearing no.05698/05697 (Guwahati – New Jalpaiguri – Guwahati) will operate from 18thof June, 2024 till 01st of January, 2025 in both directions. With the operation of this special train, people of the vast areas of West Assam and North Bengal will get easy access to Guwahatiand New Jalpaiguri.
Special train no. 05698 (Guwahati–New Jalpaiguri) will depart from Guwahatiat 23:55 hours from 18thof June till 31stof December, 2024 on every Tuesday and Thursday to reach New Jalpaiguri at 08:15 hours on the next day.
In the return direction, train no. 05697 (New Jalpaiguri – Guwahati) will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 11:15 hours from 19th of June, 2024 till 01st of January, 2025on every Wednesday and Friday to reach Guwahatiat 19:30 hours on the same day.
The special train will consist of AC2-tier, AC 3-tier,Sleeper Class & General SeatingCoaches for the convenience of passengers from all segments. During its both ways journey, the special train will have stoppages atKamakhya, Dudhnai, Goalpara Town, Abhayapuri, Chapar, Bilasipara, Gauripur, Golakganj, Tufanganj, New Coochbehar, Mathabhanga, New Changrabandha, Jalpaiguri Road and Rani Nagar Jalpaiguri stations.
