Shillong, April 11: The Jaintia National Council (JNC), Ladrymbai Circle, has formally raised serious concerns regarding the ongoing traffic congestion at Ladrymbai, particularly along Rymbai Road, which has been causing significant inconvenience to the public.
According to the JNC Ladrymbai Circle President Jopsing Latam, the congestion is largely attributed to the improper and reckless parking of vehicles along the roadside, especially during peak hours. This situation has resulted in frequent traffic jams, affecting daily commuters, school students, and even emergency services.
The organization further highlighted that the absence of traffic police personnel in the area has exacerbated the issue, leading to disorder and delays in vehicular movement.
In response to the situation, the JNC Ladrymbai Circle has formally appealed to the Officer-in-Charge of Ladrymbai Police Outpost to take immediate action. The Council has specifically requested the deployment of at least two traffic police personnel at the affected location to regulate traffic and ensure smoother flow.
“The current condition is causing daily hardship to the public, and urgent intervention is necessary to restore order and safety on the roads,” the Council stated.
The JNC expressed hope that the authorities will take prompt and necessary measures to address the issue in the interest of public convenience and safety.
