Shillong, June 26: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya Shri Conrad Sangma visited Minister of Development of Northeastern Region Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia in New Delhi to discuss budget allocation for states like Meghalaya, whose capacity to implement projects and utilize funds has increased exponentially in the last 5 years. Additionally, flexibility on guidelines for states to utilize funds on projects that are important for their growth agenda.
In his official visit yo the National Capital Meghalaya Chief Minister met also several union ministers, he met Union Minister incharge department of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi and discussed for strengthening the higher education landscape in the state and smooth conduct of examinations.
The Chief Minister met Minister of State Shri Kamlesh Paswan in New Delhi on Monday. The leaders had a detailed conversation regarding the institutional progress of rural infrastructure, tourism, and employment through various schemes.
With a focus to improve and enhance skill development in the state, the met with the Minister of State Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Jayant Chaudhary Shri Jayant Chaudhary the state’s stellar performance in developing a thriving entrepreneurship ecosystem in the last few years.
Discussing the role of the MSDE in guiding states like Meghalaya to find adequate sources of funding for strengthening their skill development and entrepreneurship ecosystem Chief Minister also submitted a proposal for a Skill Park at Tura.
The Chief Minister also met Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri Piyush Goyal interacted on Monday regarding the growth opportunities of Meghalaya and the progress of initiatives started by the state government to advance the development of the state
The Chief Minister of Meghalaya he also met Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Smt Nirmala Sitaraman convened on Monday to discuss Meghalaya Economic Growth Accelerator (MEGA) Corridor Project.
The Chief Minister met Union Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, Electronics and Information Technology, had a fruitful discussion on monday regarding the Meghalaya government’ continuous endeavours to promote data[1]driven governance and various technology[1]enabled services that are in the pipeline in the state of Meghalaya.
