Shillong, July 01: Following the success of Impact Week in 2023, Impact Week will once again partner with the PRIME Hub and the Martin Luther Christian University to host the 2024 edition from July 4th to 11th, 2024.
Impact Week 2024 serves as a collaborative platform for international and local participants, design thinking experts, academic representatives, and organizations from diverse backgrounds. Working together, they will utilize the Design Thinking methodology to create an innovative learning experience for young minds in Meghalaya.
The program will follow a two-module approach. A new cohort of Junior Coaches will be trained through a 3-day “Train-the-Coach” phase. This entire program, including the workshop, will take place at Martin Luther Christian University.
Following their training, participants will transition into their new roles as junior Design Thinking Coaches. They will collaborate with students at the University and other participating academic institutions to develop solutions for local challenges.
This defines the “practical phase” and will provide the new Coaches with the unique opportunity to directly implement their newly acquired skills while being guided by experienced Senior Coaches.
The customer-focused orientation of the Design Thinking methodology encourages all participants to challenge their traditional problem-solving approaches. The unique structure of the Impact Week experience will inspire participants to view entrepreneurship and social innovation through a fresh lens.
