Shillong, December 15, 2025: The Government of Meghalaya in a Notification issued through the Home (Police) Department has notified for the creation of a new Police Station at Byrnihat in Ri-Bhoi District to be known as Byrnihat Police Station.
The boundaries of Byrnihat Police Station are Jorabat Outpost (Assam) in the North, Umsning Outpost/Sonapur Police Station (Assam) in the East, Nongpoh Police Station in the South and Khanapara Police Station in the West.
