Meghalaya’s rich cultural celebrations a new show live on Hello Meghalaya

Shillong, March 05: The celebration of Meghalaya’s rock culture unfolds during the Cherry Blossom and the Me-Gong Festivals, which are part of the State’s annual Autumn Calendar celebrations.

These vibrant celebrations of culture and creativity bring together communities, artists, and musicians, alongside events such as the Shillong Literary Festival and the Kayak Festival, which draw writers, adventurers, and tourists from across the country and globally.

Now Meghalaya’s homegrown OTT platform, Hello Meghalaya, is showcasing behind the scenes of these festivals in its original docuseries ‘Meghalaya Unfiltered’, which second part is releasing on Friday, 6th March 2026, offering viewers an immersive look at some of the State’s most celebrated festivals and the storiesrelated to these.

This series unfolds months of planning, coordination, and tireless effort go into ensuring that every detail is in place so that visitors can experience these events at their very best.

The series captures both the vibrant festivals themselves and the stories behind their creation, bringing to light the communities, artists, writers, and organisers who come together to make these celebrations possible.

The first part of the show is already streaming on the Hello Meghalaya App, the first installment captures the energy of the Kayak Festival, the adrenaline of the Ahor Off-Roading Challenge, and the beauty of the Cherry Blossom Festival, while also highlighting the individuals working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the success of these events.

The upcoming second part shifts focus to the intellectually rich Shillong Literary Festival, the vibrant Me-Gong Festival, and the magical Winter Tales, which provide viewers with an in-depth examination of the cultural traditions that drive the artistic development of Meghalaya.
