Shillong, Jan 13: All detail information and photos of about Bahrit Devin Kharsyntiew were collected by Bah Larry P Warjri, Founding Adviser of Meghalaya Newspaper Hawker & Vendor Association (MNH&VA) since 1997 which was formed by the Employment Regeneration Committee of Synjuk Seng Samla Shnong (SSSS) at the office of SSSS Mavis Dunn Road Mawkhar Main Road Shillong – 793002 in 1997.
Best Stories-1st President MNH&VA-A boy from Laitsdad Lyndetkhlaw near Lyngkhoi Village now Rev H D Marbaniang. All he could do is to survive through selling of newspapers since Class XI and earned his livelihood by taking Music Class in Jaintia Hills and Shillong as well as collecting all the Khasi Local Chicken, bring in to Shillong and get a good market not only for himself and for his own people in the village. Now he is the Church Minister in Krang Pastorate of KJP Synod Sepngi. Married and have two children now.
2nd President-Shri Antony N Nongbri-a hawker, a news reporter (accredited journalist), youth activist and Founding President of Seng Samla Chinapatty Malki, improving distributing newspaper by asking his subscribers to credit Security Deposit so as both sides will be benefited and rest assure that the newspaper you want will reach your doorsteps smoothly. Publish his own Weekly Employment News Ka Kyrsiew. MNH&VA wishes him all the best for him for contesting the next MDC Election from Malki Nongthymmai Constituency. He was also the Ex-Joint Secretary of Durbar Shnong Malki and non-official member of different committee in the District for improving the life style and living conditions of the youth.
3rd President is now well known Advocate in various courts in Meghalaya and have passed MA Geography also.
4th President-Shri Risto G Marwein-now a regular gov’;t employee, famous and qualified Music Instructor. Starting his life in Shillong after coming from Pariong as a porter for 3 years while studying in Class XI at Raid Laban College. Then 1st Vice President MNH&VA. Married and having 2 children now.
1st Treasurer-Mrs Susana Lyngdoh Mawphlang-her two sons while distributing newspapers at the same time continuing their studies. The first son passed B Tech and continue with his MBA. 2nd one-study Law in NEHU and till now continue distributing newspaper.
Joe Kharkongor-a hawker now A Bank Officer. Lajoplin Kharsyntiew now Staff Nurse and Graduates. Savitri Uppadhay (Mother) & Bishnu Uppadhay- B Com and now a regular employee in Central Gov’;t Dept in Shillong and her whole family distributing newspapers everyday till now. Two Girls in India’;s Got Talent Audition as dancers, i girl as Archer and till now as a hawkers. Another one, now supplying hiring vehicle with Central Gov’;t Departments, Paplu Chanda-one hand only as a newspaper hawker for the last 11 years now. Niruranjan Das-his son MBA passed and now in Kolkatta. Another one in All India Radio. None but the most famous Scholar in Law Profession-a hawker in childhood days in Laitumkhrah areas, and another one is still pursueing her Ph D in NEHU. Wow!!! They have really made their families proud especially MNH&VA and ERC SSSS, etc.
MNH&VA is contemplating to make a documentary film on newspaper distribution and success stories with the blessing and supports ans guidance of the Introducer of MNH&VA to get it registered in 2001. He is none than the other, our Hon’;ble Minister Health & FW, IPR, IT, etc.
