Shillong, March 02: Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery NEIGRIHMS successfully organized one day CME Summit Stroke Day at NEIGRIHMS under the theme “Strengthening the Stroke Care Continuum – From Early Recognition to Rehabilitation” on 28th Feb 2026.
The CME was conducted in collaboration with the Shillong Neuro Club under the aegis of the Association of Neuroscientists of Eastern India with academic support from the Indian Stroke Association. The program was accredited with CME Credit Points by the Meghalaya Medical Council.
A total of seventy delegates from Bihar, Assam, and Shillong participated in the event. The scientific sessions included expert lectures, poster presentations, free paper sessions, interesting case discussions, and a stroke quiz.
DM Residents, MD Medicine and Radiology trainees and DNB residents from Guwahati Medical College, NEIGRIHMS and Nazareth Hospital actively contributed to the academic deliberations.
The CME emphasised multidisciplinary coordination and evidence-based stroke management reinforcing the growing commitment of the medical fraternity in Meghalaya and the Northeastern region towards improving comprehensive stroke care and patient outcomes.
