Over 80 companies to participate in the N.E FoodTech 2026 in Guwahati

Guwahati, Jan 25: After the success of its previous editions, the 5th North-East FoodTech 2026, the region’s premier B2B exhibition for the Food, Bakery and Hospitality Industry, will be held from January 29 to February 1, 2026, at the Maniram Dewan Trade Centre, near ISBT Bus Stand, Guwahati.

The four-day exhibition has emerged as a key business and knowledge platform for the North-East, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, chefs, hoteliers, restaurateurs, consultants, entrepreneurs and institutional buyers to explore technology adoption, trade partnerships and investment opportunities.

More than 80 reputed companies from across India will showcase the latest solutions in food processing machinery, bakery and confectionery equipment, commercial kitchen systems, refrigeration and cold-chain infrastructure, packaging technology, ingredients, food safety solutions and hospitality support services, positioning the North-East as an emerging destination for food industry expansion.

A key highlight of this edition will be the N-E Bakery Conclave 2026, scheduled on January 31, featuring expert sessions and panel discussions on modern bakery operations, quality standards, plant management, branding and business scalability.

The conclave will include industry professionals such as Chef Manjit Gill, President, IFCA; Ms. Mandeep Kaur, Food Technologist, Gold Medallist; Mr. Sarat Roy, Plant Operation Manager, Annapurna Group; Mr. Anupam Deka, Director, SRD Bakers (Repose), Guwahati; Mr. Mohit Sikaria, Director, Homa Breads; and Mr. Idris Ansari, Bakery Consultant, Kolkata.

Notably, select MSME bakery units from the North-Eastern Region will also be awarded during the event, thereby reaffirming the role of such events in encouraging the growth of local enterprises, recognising regional excellence, and strengthening the MSME ecosystem, in the sector.

The event will also host culinary showcases, live baking demonstrations and competitions, including the ‘Flavours of North-East’ segment, featuring noted chefs including Chef Manjit Gill, Chef Sheetharam Prasad, Chef Vijaya Baskaran, Chef Sudhakar Rao, Chef Abhiru Biswas, Chef Sandeep Pandey, Chef Rangonath Mukherjee and Chef Atul Lakhar, focusing on regional cuisine, skills and professional excellence.

“North-East FoodTech has become an important platform for food and hospitality entrepreneurs in the region to engage with national industry players. Around 7,000 business visitors from the North-East, Eastern India and neighbouring regions are expected to attend the exhibition, reinforcing Guwahati’s growing role as a regional centre for food processing, bakery and hospitality-related business activity.
