Shillong Nov 29: Samuel Jyrwa former president of the Khasi Students Union (KSU) was elected as the Chairman of the North East Students’ Organisation (NESO) for the term 2012-2015
KSU president Daniel Khyriem while informing reprters on Thursday said Jyrwa the election took place at a conference of all the students’ body of North east held at Kohima from November 27-29.
It was also learnt that apart from Jyrwa, another member of the JSU is also elected as the secretary general of NESO.
Altogether 20 members of the students’ body from the state attended the conference including cultural group.The group is set to reach Shillong on Sunday.(SP News)
