Shillong, April 03: The former Chief Secretary of Meghalaya Smt. RV Suchiang, on April 3rd, 2025, was sworn in as the State Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan. The swearing-in was administered by Governor Shri C.H. Vijayashankar, in the presence of various state government officials and the newly appointed CIC’s family members.
The event commenced with the playing of the National Anthem, followed by the reading of the official notification by Shri F R. Kharkongor, Commissioner Secretary, Department of Arts and Culture, who announced Smt. Suchiang’s appointment. Smt. Suchiang will serve a three-year term as the Chief Information Commissioner of Meghalaya.
