Shillong, Feb 24: Based on credible intelligence input, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Meghalaya conducted a raid on the residential premises of notorious Drug supplier Shri Rahul Chhetri at Lower Rynjah, Shillong.
Upon search of the premises as per NDPS Act ,the team recovered and seized, 2060 Nos. of Nitrazepam tablets worth Rs. 8,24,000 in the illegal market, 23 plastic soap boxes containing suspected heroin total weight 237gms worth Rs.47,40,000 in the illegal market. The ANFT recovered cash amount of Rs.27,300/- .
The main accused Shri Rahul Chhetri managed to fled away in a Purple Maruti
Ertiga having registration number ML-10B-5347 upon the arrival of police and is still at large. Two persons have been arrested in connection with the instant case.
The above persons are suspected to be part of larger organised crime syndicate operating interstate drug trafficking nexus. The team of ANTF is investigating the matter for forward andbackward linkages.
If any person has any information about the accused, his accomplices or any miscreants involved in drug trafficking, the information may be shared with Meghalaya ANTF. The identity will be kept secret and a suitable reward will be given.
