Shillong, June 09: The Composite Hospital BSF, Shillong organized screening camp for Hepatitis B & Hepatitis C and diabetes at BSF Campus Umpling on Satuarday with a motto “Prevention is Better than Cure” An early detection of any disease is great tool in controlling at initial stage.
Hence, for the detection of any such hidden disease, screening of all is required and for that, this camp has been organized for the serving sentinels and their families”, said Dr A C Bhardwajan, DIG/Medical Superintendent of the BSF, Meghalaya.
The Composite Hospital BSF, Shillong is regularly organizing such camps for their Jawans & beneficiaries and as well as for the border population at different border out posts.
Those detected with any such disease during the camps are being followed and treated religiously by a team of specialists of Composite Hospital BSF, Shillong.
During today’s camp 85 Ladies 15 Children and 32 Male from campuses of BSF that is Umpling and Mawpat were screened, treated and advised prevention were given.
