Khliehriat, Feb 16: Following the explosion that had occurred at an illegal coal mine located at Mynsyngat, Thangsko area under Umpleng Police Outpost on 5th February 2026, rescue and disaster response operations were initiated without delay.
With the inquest and autopsy of one of the deceased, suspected to be a Non-tribal Male aged 40 years of age approximately with a height of 5 feet approximately having been conducted, the dead body has remained unidentified and unclaimed till date and it is still lying at the Khliehriat Civil Hospital Morgue.
