Maligaon, July 21: For the convenience of the passengers during the existing summer rush, The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has taken a proactive step to address the surge in passenger demand by introducing another one more pair of weekly special trains.
The train will operate between Katihar and Amritsar for four trips each in both directions on weekly basis. These special trains will improve the existing rail services betweenBihar, and Northernpart of Indiafostering trade and other economic activities apart from benefitting students and labours .The regular services of these trains will run as per following details.
Accordingly, Train No. 05734 (Katihar – Amritsar)special will depart from Katihar on every Thursday from 25th July to 15th August, 2024 at 11:40 hours to reach Amritsarat 00:10hours on Saturday.
In return direction, train No. 05733 (Amritsar- Katihar) special will depart from Amritsar on every Saturday from 27th July to 17th August, 2024 at 04:25 hours to reach Katihar at 15:00 hours on Sunday.
The Special train will run via Naugachia, Muzaffarpur , Narkatiaganj, Gorakhpur Jn, Gonda Jn, Kanpur Central, Old Delhi Jn, Chandigarh Jn, Jalandhar City Jn, etc. in both directions. The train will have two AC 3-tiers, fourteen Sleeper class and four General second class coaches for the passengers.
Wait listed passengers of other trains travelling in these routes can avail the opportunity to travel with comfort during this summer in these special trains. The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available at IRCTC website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of NF Railway. Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey.
