The second Assam Rifles Ex-Servicemen Association conclave held in Shillong

Shillong, April 09: Assam Rifles successfully organised the second Assam Rifles Ex-Servicemen Association (ARESA) Conclave today at Shillong marking a significant step towards strengthening its enduring bond with its veteran fraternity.

A total of 35 Presidents and Secretaries from ARESA Centres across the country participated in the conclave. The deliberations focused on enhancing coordination, improving accountability and functionality of ARESA centres and incorporating valuable feedback. The discussions were primarily centred on ensuring the welfare and well-being of Assam Rifles Ex-Servicemen and their dependents.

During the event, top-performing ARESA centres were recognised for their exemplary efforts. ARESA Centre Dehradun secured the first position and was awarded a rolling trophy along with a cash prize. ARESA Centre Gorakhpur and ARESA Centre Silchar secured the second and third positions respectively.

Marking a notable milestone in veteran recognition initiatives, the conclave also saw the introduction of the “Veteran Achiever Award” to honour exemplary contributions towards the welfare of ex-servicemen. A total of sixteen veterans were felicitated with salvers and cash awards for their outstanding service and dedication.

The conclave reaffirmed the Assam Rifles’ steadfast commitment towards the welfare, recognition and continued engagement of its veterans, highlighting its dedication to those who have served the nation with distinction.
